Family Camp - 2012

Two weekends ago was Carnaval here in Brazil (and around the world.)  Carnaval is a big holiday here, and mostly it's just wild partying.  At night, especially, there is a lot of drinking, and partying in the streets.  A few towns purposefully attract large groups of partiers, and in those towns, it is almost impossible to get around safely during this time.  For that reason, the churches here have Family Camp during Carnaval.  It's a good excuse to get all of the churches together for fellowship once a year.

Missionary Peter Doolittle has a camp about an hour away on the other side of our capital city, and we spent the weekend there and took many, many, MANY pictures.  I've been working on putting several blog posts together about the food, services, activities and more; and will be posting them over the next week.
